Maryann E. Racette, 85, Oakley, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Logan County Senior.

She was born April 17, 1935, in rural Sheridan County to Levi and Margaret (Tremblay) Ribordy.

She married Luke A Racette on Jan. 25, 1954, in Grainfield. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Grinnell where she taught religion classes for many years. Most recently she belonged to St. Josephs Parish in Oakley.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Ed) Wolak, Goodland, William, Oakley, Lori (Phil) Collins, Grinnell, Kennan (Konnie) Racette, Greg, Donella (Randy) Younkin, all of Oakley, Darren (Lisa) Racette, Grainfield, and Rocky (Aida) Racette, Oakley; a sister, Rita Truetken-Huffman, St Louis, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Greg; her son-in-law, Ed Wolak; and twin grandsons, Tobby and Tanner.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday St Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Grinnell.

Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorials are suggested to Logan County Senior Living or St. Josephs School in care of Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
