Harold Lee Pohlman, 56, Russell, died Monday, July 6, 2020 at the Salina Regional Hospital in Salina, Kansas.


He was born Dec. 29, 1963 in Russell to Adam Henry "Hank" and Marjorie Lee (Dumler) Pohlman. He grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the Class of 1982. He then attended Barton County Community College where he obtained a degree in Diesel Mechanics.


He married Londa Lynn Thomas on May 25, 1985 in Russell. They made their home in Russell. His wife preceded him in death on March 31, 2008. Later in life he found his soulmate with Ronda Pasek.


He worked at the AGCO grain elevator. After getting his degree he worked at John Deer. Later he worked for the City of Russell for many years before becoming the owner and operator of the Pohlman Hardware Store.


Survivors include his daughter, Heather Pohlman of Russell; son, Brett Pohlman of Hays; companion, Ronda Pasek of the home; step-daughter, Michele McNelis of Russell; mother, Marjorie Pohlman of Russell; sister, Barbara Krug of Russell, Kansas; and four grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his father and wife.


Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2020 at Russell City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary.
