Robert Carl “Bob” Moore, 73, Hays, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, at Hays Good Samaritan Society.
He was born Dec.10, 1946, in Hallowell to Henry and Ethel (Speck) Moore. He was a 1965 graduate of Columbus High School.
He married Betty C. McCullough on Dec. 1, 1973, in Hays and they celebrated 46 years of marriage. He worked for Gilmore Pipeline & Oil Field Construction Company for 20 years and later was a truck driver for Ellis County for 20 years.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening, riding horses, and raising a variety of farm animals including goats, chickens, pigs, cats, ostriches and milk cows. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren as he taught them to hunt and fish.
Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hays; three sons, Dwayne Davis and wife, Christine, Wapakoneta, Ohio, Justin Davis and wife, Shanna, Craig, Colo., and Stan Moore and wife, Mae, Hays; two daughters, Melissa Moore, Reedsburg, Wis., and Tammy Robertson and husband, Daniel, Fort Worth, Texas; a brother; Jim Moore and wife, Nancy, Hays; a brother-in-law, Harry Cormony, Oswego; 18 grandchildren, Nathan, Brandon, Kyle, Megan, Zach, Levi, Matthew, T.J., Robby, Maxine, Jarod, Ryan, Trevor, Taylor, Josh, Anna, Dakota, and Blaine; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Fredia Cormony.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forbes-Hoffman Memorial Chapel, Chetopa; inurnment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Chetopa.
Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
