Patricia “Pat” Louise (Blass) Weidenhaft, 66, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, from a courageous battle with cancer at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 26, 1953, in Beloit to James Donald and Lois Ann (Claycamp) Blass. She was a 1971 graduate of Beloit High School.
She married Joe Weidenhaft, on July 24, 1971, in Beloit. She had a 27-year career working for the U.S. Postal Service and retired as the Postmaster of the Agra, post office after spending many years at the post office in Plainville.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Stockton; a son, Brandon Weidenhaft, Hays; two daughters, Jana Griffin and Kelli Cockrell, both of Stockton; her mother, Beloit; her brothers, Mike Blass, Beloit, Joe and Von Blass, Santee Calif. and George Blass, Beloit; her sisters, Terry Mulder, rural Phillipsburg, Brenda Tietjens, Glen Elder and Barb Broughton, Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Celebration Community Church, Hays; inurnment will be at 3 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery in Glen Elder.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to Stockton Public Library, Plainville Library, or Nova Theatre in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, Stockton.
