Alice (Geist) Fisher, 87, Hays, died Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born April 1, 1933, in Ellis to Nick and Lidwina (Kuhn) Geist.
She married Cyril Fisher on May 3, 1955, at St. Joseph Church in Hays, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage. She worked at St. Anthony Hospital, Duckwalls, Dillons, before moving to Phillipsburg in December 1958, where they owned and operated C & A Floor Covering Store. They worked side by side until their retirement in November 1995. In February 2003, they moved back to Hays to a retirement home.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Hays; a sister, Albertina Rohleder and husband, Val, Abilene; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Alfred Geist; and three sisters, Irene Windholz, Alberta Pfannenstiel, and Melinda Lang.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Tuesday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601.
A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Masses, St. Joseph Church, or Thomas More Prep-Marian High School in care of the funeral home.
