Blanche VonLintel, 99, Hays, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020, at Good Samaritan Society, Hays.
She was born July 10, 1921, in Ellis County to Andrew and Adeline (Rupp) Rupp.
She married Ben VonLintel. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a long time hair stylist owning her first salon at the age of 18 and continued her 50 year career until her retirement from Blanche's.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Daughters of Isabella.
She had a particular fondness for dogs.
Survivors include two sons, William VonLintel and wife, Laura, Hays and John VonLintel and wife, Robie, Florida; five grandchildren, Amy and Megan VonLintel, Ben and Nick VonLintel and Jacob VonLintel and wife, Joanne, Hays; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Marq Rupp, Kansas City, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dr. Thomas VonLintel; an infant daughter, Gloria VonLintel; a grandson, J.T. VonLintel; and four brothers, Mike, Francis, Hank and Marvin Rupp.
Services were held Oct. 2, 2020, at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine, Hays, KS 67601; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays.
