Kenneth E. Wasinger, 69, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2020, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.
He was born April 27, 1951, in Ransom to Nicholas and Wilma (Munch) Wasinger. He attended Sacred Heart School, Ness City and Ness City High School. Upon his return from the military, he attended K-State University.
He worked at the Ness County courthouse as a janitor/maintenance man for many years until his retirement earlier this year. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, Ness City American Legion Frank Stull Post No. 152 and Ransom Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7972.
Survivors include his mother, Wilma Drake, Ness City; two brothers, Layne and Alan Wasinger, Ness City; three sisters, Linda Cox (Bob Denning), Hanston, Lavonne Mishler (Tom Coker), Hays and Luciann Ogden (John), Canon City, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Jim and Verlyn Wasinger; two nephews, Justin Cox and Tanner Mishler; and a great-niece, Courie Cox.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 15, 2020, in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Honor Flight or Comfort warriors of the American Legion in care of Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Ness City.
