Max George Crum, 99, Quinter, formerly of Arvada, Colo., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2020, at Gove County Long Term Care.
He was born Oct. 27, 1921, in Sunol, Neb., to George and Mabel (Hobson) Crum. He was a 1940 high school graduate in Littleton, Colo.
He married Helen Hooper on Dec. 29, 1945, in Arvada, CO. She preceded him in death. He was an aerospace engineer for 25 years and then did real estate and land development for another 25 years, before retiring. They spent numerous years traveling the U.S. in their motor home. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1942 to 1946.
He was a member of the Colorado Association of Realtors, the Arvada Elks Club and the Arvada Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandii Ostmeyer, Quinter; four grandchildren, Kendra (Austin) Barnes, Kara (Chet) Lang, Carver (Cherina) Ostmeyer and Kasen Ostmeyer; five great-grandchildren, Gavin Barnes, Shea Salyers, Dylan Lang, Tyla Lang and Kyla Lang; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a still born son; a son, J. Michael Crum; a son-in-law, Steve Ostmeyer; a granddaughter, Christina Ostmeyer; and 6 siblings.
Inurnment will take place in Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver.
