Ruth Annis, 80, Oakley, died Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1939, in Clay County to Akin and Mary (Townsend) Sherbert.
She married Maurice Annis on June 18, 1961, in Salina. He preceded her in death. She was a registered nurse and a financial advisor with Waddell & Reed in Oakley.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Annis and wife, Suzy, Oakley, and Douglas Annis and wife, Denise, Parker, Colo.; a brother. Bill Sherbert, Chapman; five sisters, Janet Waters, Phoenix, Adela “Del” Furrer, Abilene, Ann Smith, Peoria, Ariz., Sue Cruz, Lorenzo, Texas and Kay Kreifels, Syracuse, Neb.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Dwight Sherbert; two half-sisters, Ethel Luthi and Velma Handley; two infant twin half-sisters, Leona May and Iona Fay Sherbert; and a half-brother, Melvin Sherbert.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakley United Christian Church; burial in Oakley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
