Tyson A. Eaton, 41, Hays, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at Hays Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 6, 1979, in Riverton, Wyo., to Erik and Jacque (Murphy) Eaton.
He married Kelli J. Horn on Sept. 30, 2006, in Hays, and they celebrated 14 years of marriage. He was a call center manager for Asurion.
In his youth, he enjoyed working summers at Hoback Village in Bondurant, Wyo. He liked reading, camping, Barbeque, painting miniature figures, 3-D printing, making things, and assembling numerous LEGO sets. He was involved with Boy Scouts and with his son, Mason. He enjoyed playing dungeons and dragons and especially liked playing Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. He was a techie, had a good sense of humor and caring.
Survivors include his wife, Hays; a son, Mason Eaton, Hays; a daughter, Kayden Eaton, Hays; a stepdaughter, Kylie, Hawthorne, Nev.; his father, Erik Eaton and significant other, Ruth Legleiter, Hays, his mother, Jacque Sadowski and husband, Kevin , Hickory Creek, Texas; two grandfathers, Bill Murphy, Gorham and Ken Myers, Riverton, Wyo.; his father-in-law, Daniel Horn, Sr. and wife, Dorothy, Galva; his mother-in-law, Debra Dougherty and husband, Karl, Joplin, Mo.; a brother, Mitchell Eaton and fiancé, Jessica Miller, Russell; a sister, Shannon Ballenger and significant other, Jordan Pemberton, Wichita; two stepbrothers, Brent Legleiter, Hays and Michael Sadowski of West Pueblo, CO, two brothers-in-law: Daniel Horn, Jr. and wife Christy of Lawrence and Dustin Horn and wife, Emily, Dodge City; a sister-in-law, Kristin Ford and husband, Johnny, Blue Springs, Mo.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Eaton; and two grandmothers, Jan Murphy and Dorothy Myers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Gorham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, both at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Mason and Kayden’s education in care of Kelli Eaton.
