Mark Johnson Paschal, 67, Luray, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer at his home.
He was born Dec. 18, 1953, in Russell to Willis Albert “Bill” and Wilma Joyce (Johnson) Paschal. He graduated from Luray High School and attended and obtained a bachelor of science degree from Kansas State University in animal science and industry.
He married Joann Amelia Loflin on July 24, 1982, in Ogallah. For over 30 years he was a EMT and First Responder for the Luray community.
Survivors include his wife, of 38 years, of the home; a daughter, Nicole Webber, Lincoln; two sisters, Meredith Mense, Shawnee and Martha Powell, Olathe; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Vincent Cemetery north of Luray.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Luray United Methodist Church.
Memorials are suggested to his grandchildren’s education fund in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, Russell.
