Norma Jean Fellers, 86, Hays, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at her home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Victoria to John and Catherine (Windholz) Quint. She was a 1952 graduate of Victoria High School in 1952 and pursued a degree in physical education at Fort Hays State University.
She married Jeremiah J. “Jerry” Fellers on June 19, 1957, in Victoria. He preceded her in death. She worked for Safeway grocery stores in Colorado for 17 years as inventory control clerk and front end manager. They returned to Hays after their retirement.
She enjoyed bible study groups, quilting, sewing, bowling, dancing, and cooking and most important was her family and Jesus.
Survivors include three daughters, Ramona Mayfield and husband, John, Lemoore, Calif., Jean Zimmerli and husband, Tracy, Lochbuie, Colo., and Lisa Fellers, Hays; a son, Alan Fellers and wife, Colleen, Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and five sisters.
A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. March 12, 2021, at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601; inurnment will follow at 2 p.m. in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, WaKeeney.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service March 12, 2021, at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of HaysMed or Cancer Council of Ellis County in care of the funeral home.
