Makenzee Kathleen Cupp, 19, died Monday, March 1, 2021, in La Crosse.
She was born Aug. 1, 2001, in Grapevine, Texas to Jess and Denee Reis-Cupp. She was a 2020 graduate of Ness City High School, where she was involved in FFA, basketball, and school plays.
She was a student at North Central Kansas Technical College in Hays. She was working towards graduating from NCK's culinary arts program, and was very well known for her exceptional skills in the kitchen.
She enjoyed being a youth group counselor at church camp and always wanted to help anyone. She was a member of Celebration Church in Hays.
Survivors include her parents, Bazine; her grandparents, Jay and Debra Cupp, Nekoma; her grandmother, Donna Reis, Fort Worth Texas; a brother, Jay Alan Cupp, Bazine; her cousin by blood, but her sister by life, Ava Mae Reis, Bazine; her boyfriend, Ethan Epperson-Seib, Hays; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dennis Alan Reis; her great-grandmother, Bonnie; and a cousin, Donald Keith Cox, Jr.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ness City High School Auditorium and Gymnasium, Ness City.
