Destruction of U.S. Historical Statues. I am a 13-year-old boy and have seen on the news about people destroying historical statues. My opinion on protesters taking down these historical statues makes me very angry on how people don't think twice and say, "hey, maybe we shouldn't do this."
The thing that makes me so angry is how these statues are there for a purpose of our history of our country. I feel bad for future kids will not have a public place to see the U.S. history and those statues represent a person who made America how it is today. For example Christopher Columbus, J.E.B. Stuart, Robert Milligan and Albert Pike.
It's not that I agree with the history of what these statues stand for; however, it is the history that tells us Americans what we have gone through and what these people stand for in our history.
It is history and should not represent who we are today in America.
