The Hays Larks moved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in the Kansas Collegiate League with an 8-3 victory over the Dodge City A’s on Tuesday at Larks Park.

The Larks led 2-0 after four innings before breaking the game open with five runs in the fifth.

Drake Angeron, Max McGuire and and Mikey Gangwich each had two hits. Five of the Larks 11 hits were doubles. Gangwich had two doubles while Justin Lee, Jimmy DeLeon and Angeron each had one.

Christian Pearcy earned the win on the mound for the Larks, allowing one run in five innings. He gave up nine hits with two walks while striking out nine.

The Larks were set to go for the four-game series sweep of the A’s on Wednesday night in Dodge.
