CLEARWATER — The Hays Larks extended their winning streak to six games with a come-from-behind 12-5 victory over the Clearwater Outlaws on Saturday.
The Larks trailed 4-0 after two innings before scoring three runs in the third and tying the game up with a in the top of the fifth.
The Larks scored two in the sixth to take the lead and continued to add insurance.
Drake Angeron led the Larks with a 5-for-6 day at the plate. Justin Lee added three hits while Matt Cavanagh, Jimmy DeLeon, Hernan Yanez and Jarrod Belbin had two hits each. Yanez homered for the Larks.
Hays improved to 7-1 overall and 6-0 in Kansas Collegiate League Baseball play.
Wyatt Divis struck out 16 in seven innings to earn the win. He gave up five runs on 11 hits with four walks. Nash Neff pitched two scoreless innings to close it out.
