The Hays Senior Eagles American Legion baseball team rolled to a doubleheader sweep at Colby on Wednesday, earning 14-3 and 19-4 wins.

The Eagles pounded out 18 hits in the first game, including eight that went for extra bases. Tate Garcia, Palmer Hutchison, Brady Kreutzer, Justice Dotts and Dominic Bainter all tripled while Willie Sennett, Brock Lummus and Colby Dreiling each had a double.

Kreutzer finished with four hits while Sennett and Hutchison had three each.

Colby Dreiling took the win on the mound, holding the Eagles to three runs in six innings.

The Eagles put up 10 runs in the fourth inning of the of the second game. Josh Haynes had two doubles and drove in six runs in the nightcap.

The Eagles, who moved to 28-6 on the summer, will play a 5 p.m. doubleheader against Beloit on Wednesday at Hays High.
