The Hays High volleyball team went 3-2 in the Great Bend Invitational on Saturday.

The Indians beat Ulysses (26-24, 25-18), Salina Central (21-25, 25-20, 25-17) and Phillipsburg (15-25, 25-15, 25-17) while losing to Hutchinson (22-25, 9-25) and Great Bend (21-25, 25-23, 24-26).

Hays High moved to 14-9 on the season.

Tasiah Nunnery led the Indians with 51 kills on the day.

HHS libero Brookyln Schaffer had double-digits in digs against Hutchinson (20), Great Bend (23), Salina Central (24) and Phillipsburg (10).

Peyton Niernberger recorded 3 solo blocks and four block assists against Great Bend.  Kaitlyn Suppes had nine assists against Salina Central and seven against Philllipsburg.

Hays High will play a quadrangular at home on Monday.

The Indians' junior varsity team went 3-1 in Colby on Saturday and the HHS freshman team went 4-1 in Abilene to take second place.
