Reece Struckhoff continued his huge senior season for Thunder Ridge, rushing for 284 yards and five touchdowns on 21 carries in the Longhorns’ 34-30 road win at Sylvan Lucas on Friday.

Thunder Ridge moved to 5-0 on the season.


Ness City 30, Kinsley 0

The Eagles held Kinsley to just 67 yards of offense to notch a shutout on the road, remaining unbeaten.

Jose Guzman ran for two touchdowns and Nate Gabel also had a touchdown on the ground. Hector Rodriguez returned an interception for a touchdown.


Norton 13, Minneapolis 12

Norton survived a scare at home against Minneapolis to move to 4-1.

Minneapolis scored a touchdown to come within a point in the fourth quarter but the Bluejays maintained the lead after Minneapolis came up empty on the two-point try.

Luke Walhmeier had an interception return for a touchdown and Kade Melvin rushed for a touchdown for Norton.


St. Francis 30, Hoxie 28

At Hoxie, St. Francis held off Hoxie’s upset bid to move to 5-0 on the season. St. Francis led 18-6 at halftime and 30-20 at the end of the third quarter before surviving a fourth-quarter touchdown from Hoxie.


La Crosse 34, Sacred Heart 6

At La Crosse, Colby Stull amassed 293 yards on the ground with a couple touchdowns to lead the way for the Leopards. Quarterback Hunter Morgan also threw a pair of touchdown passes to help La Crosse remain unbeaten.
