Haleigh Spray led the Thomas More Prep-Marian girls golf team on the first day of the Class 3-2-1A state golf tournament on Monday at Salina Municipal Golf Course.
Spray will enter the second round tied for 13th after finishing with an 89 on Monday.
The Monarchs made the cut as a team for the second day of the tournament, sitting tied for sixth with a 405 in the first round.
Jenna Romme had a 101 for TMP while Allison Applequist finished the day with a 105. Other TMP scores included Ella Brummer's 110, MyKayla Romme's 116 and Abigail Heimerman's 119.
Defending state champion Rylie Cook sits atop the headboard with a 73, four shots ahead of Faith Hedges from Seabury Academy.
Goodland leads the team standings with a 366, 17 shots ahead of Silver Lake in second. Caney Valley and Colby are tied for third at 385.
Colby’s Brielle Bange is in third with an 80, followed by Silver Lake’s Jaymeson Lindstrom (82) in fourth. Oakley’s Jordyn Lowrie and Goodland’s Kerrigan Rudolph are tied for fifth with an 83.
