Hays High’s Tasiah Nunnery has accomplished a feat no other player in program history has achieved, earning All-Western Athletic Conference first-team volleyball honors in each of her four seasons as an Indian.
After a standout senior season, Nunnery was joined on the first team by Garden City’s Remi Vargas (player of the year) and Reagan Karlin, Great Bend’s Sydney Unruh and Jenna Mauler and Liberal’s Aubrey Warden.
Nunnery led the Indians to a 22-14 record this past season. She led the team in kills (376) and assists (274), averaging 4.6 kills and 3.3 assists per set. She was second on the team in digs with 183 on the season.
The All-WAC second team was comprised of Dodge City’s Audrey Phelps, Liberal's Machia Mullens, Great Bend’s Alyssa Herter, Garden City’s Klebi Richter and Liberal’s Sarah Mein and Sarah Rameriz.
Great Bend’s Shelly Duvall was coach of the year.
