Hays High senior Matt Goodale was a first-team selection on the All-Western Athletic Conference boys soccer team.

Goodale pulled double duty this year, joining the HHS football team as a place-kicker in the fourth week of the season while also turning in a strong season on the soccer field.

Freshman Diego Muller and junior Blake Steiben were second-team picks for Hays High.

Dodge City's Alan Lopez was named player of the year and while Saul Hernandez was tabbed coach of the year after guiding the Red Demons to a WAC title.
