The Fort Hays State women's basketball team will return to Gross Memorial Coliseum to play host to the University of Saint Mary at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Tigers, ranked No. 5 in the NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches Association poll, will enter with a 4-0 mark.
Senior forward Belle Barbieri is averaging a double-double with 12.8 points and 12.5 rebounds. Senior guards Kacey Kennett and Lanie Page are averaging double digits in points, putting up 11.8 and 11 per game, respectively. Kennett has 15 steals in four games.
Saint Mary, an NAIA program, was sitting 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference heading into Saturday night's game at Sterling. Heading into that game, Danielle Cassady was averaging a team-best 11.9 points per game for the Spires.
After the Saint Mary game, the Tigers will play another nonconference game against Tabor at home on Nov. 30 before beginning MIAA play at Nebraska-Kearney on Dec. 3.
