Thomas More Prep-Marian senior Carson Jacobs earned first-team honors on the All-Mid Continent League boys basketball team released Tuesday.
Monarch junior guard Jackson Schulte was a second-team pick for the TMP boys, while TMP sophomore Emilee Lane earned second-team honors for the Monarch girls.
Jacobs and Schulte formed a tough inside-outside scoring punch for the Monarchs, who finished the season with an 18-5 record. TMP won MCL regular-season and tournament championships.
Lane was a force in the post for the TMP girls, turning in a solid sophomore campaign.
Jacobs was joined on the first team by Plainville senior Jared Casey, Ellis senior Zachary Eck, Ellis junior Brady Frickey and Phillipsburg junior Ty Sides.
The All-MCL girls’ first team was comprised of Plainville senior Aubree Dewey, Oakley’s Jordyn Lowrie, Phillipsburg’s Taryn Sides, WaKeeney Trego’s Lili Shubert and Ellis’ Grace Eck.
Joining Schulte on the boys’ second team was Hoxie’s Harlan Obioha, Norton’s Kade Melvin, Trego’s Charlie Russell and Stockton’s Ethan Means. Honorable mention went to Hill City’s Dalen Journigan, Smith Center’s Trenton Colby, Trego’s Carter Minson, Phillipsburg’s Austin Miller and Norton’s Jonah Ruder.
In addition to Lane, the girls’ second team was comprised of Norton’s Tessa Hauser, Smith Center’s Tallon Rentschler, Hoxie’s Addi Campbell and Trego’s Libby Frost. Honorable mention went to Phillipsburg’s Emily Schneider, Stockton’s Shae Griffin, Ellis’ Rylee Werth, Phillipsburg’s Kristen Wells and Norton’s Hannah Bailey.
