ELLINWOOD — The Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs swept Ellinwood on Tuesday, picking up 7-0 and 8-4 wins.


In the first game, Nick Hermann tossed five scoreless innings, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out two. Mason Robbins worked the last two innings to complete the shutout.


Robbins had three hits while Mark Rack and Noah Gibson had two apiece.


In the second game, Ellinwood jumped out to a 3-0 lead but the Monarchs took control with five runs in the third. Jace Wentling, Ethan Atherton and Zeke Haag all had RBI hits in the inning.


Robbins tossed six innings in the second game, allowing four runs on six hits with no walks while striking out eight.


Robbins, Atherton and Werth each had two hits.


The Monarchs will play a doubleheader at Hoisington on Thursday.
