Free COVID-19 testing continues
Free COVID-19 testing will continue at Big Creek Crossing, the Ellis County Health Department announced Friday.
The testing, created through partnership with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment and TourHealth, will continue Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until further notice, the county health department said.
“This is a reliable, PCR-based test. No appointment is necessary. Please ensure that you are following COVID-19 safe practices which includes isolating yourself following testing until you receive results,” the health department said in a press release.
Average turnaround time for results is 3-5 days after testing.

The county has recorded 2,436 cases since reporting began with 24 deaths and 1,880 recovered cases.
